Folio 227: Samuel Colquitt, HMS Princess, Liverpool. Returns the indenture for David Thomas and states that Thomas was impressed as a result of the protection from the Admiralty that was not correctly completed.
Folio 228: enclosed with folio 227. Letter dated 21 August 1805 by Thomas Ferguson, 3 George Yard, Lombard Street, applies for the release of David Thomas.
Folios 229-230: enclosed with folio 227. A protection document from the Admiralty stating that David Thomas is apprenticed to John Janes of Towyn to serve at sea. Dated 25 February 1805. Signed by John Barrow, Philip Patton and 2 others.
