Folios 267-268: William Charleton, Regulating Captain, North Shields. Responds to a letter from the Admiralty asking him to discharge Jasper Benson, as being a Danish citizen, as a result of an application from His Excellency Count Frederik Anton Wedel-Jarlsberg. States that Jasper Benson was sent to the Nore of HMS ELiza in 22 July 1805 and is being kept for service and it is known that he married in North Shields with a wife and 2 children living there.
