Folios 253-254: William Charleton, Regulating Captain. North Shields. Advises that the men [George Elmy and David Williams], whose discharges have been applied for in the enclosed letter from William Edge, Captain, Sea Fencibles, were detained at Sunderland in 19 June 1805, having been impressed before the Mast. Explains that they were then dismissed by him on 19 June 1805 as Thomas Consitt, Lieutenant, Regulating Officer, Sunderland, had overlooked a memorandum of Captain Charles Tinling on George Elmy's Ticket, which stated that by an Admiralty order of 7 May 1805 to dismiss.
Folios 255-256: enclosure with folios 253-254. Letter dated 23 June 1805, from William Edge, Captain, Sea Fencibles. Aldborough to the Admiralty. Applies for the discharge of George Elmy and David Williams, Sea Fencibles belonging to Southwold, both Masters of vessels, married, having four children and coming within the description of men to be enrolled in the Admiralty Order 6 September 1804.
