Folios 168-169: William Charleton, Regulating Captain, North Shields. Reports on the case of David Watts, impressed at North Shields on 3 April 1805, and whose discharge has been applied for by Mr Erving, American Consul. States that David Watts is a native of Scotland and has a wife in Falmouth as is proven by the enclosed letter which he was writing to her at the time of his impressment. Says that he did not keep the American Certificate of Citizenship which David Watts was carrying,
Folios 170-171: enclosure with folios 168-169. Letter unfinished and unsigned, dated 3 April 1805, said to be from David Watts in South Shields to his wife in Falmouth.
