Folios 153-154: William Charleton, Regulating Captain, North Shields. Reports the case of Richard Dawson, impressed on 11 March 1805, whose discharge has been applied for by J G Bowen in enclosed letter.
Folios 155-156: enclosure with folios 153-154. Letter, dated 16 March 1805, from J G Bowen, Ramsgate to the Admiralty. Applies for the discharge of Richard Dawson, impressed at Newcastle out of Bowen's vessel the Brothers of Ramsgate, 167 tonnes, and detained on HMS Eliza. States he was always of the opinion that vessels of the burthen of the Eliza have the privilege of protection for carpenters. Encloses a certificate of service for Richard Dawson.
