Folios 404-405: John Clements, Sea Fencibles, Leith. Points out that the letters sent by Captain Brenton complaining about his conduct over the release and insolence of Andrew Meldrum were sent before a letter by Lieutenant Pierie to Captain Brenton and Lieutenant Okes. He is sending copies of letters from all parties so the Navy can judge for themselves.
Folios 406-407: enclosure with folios 404-405. John Okes Lieutenant says that Meldrum refused to accompanying him when he was pressed so he could raise a mob but he was dragged to the Rendezvous but he was not disrespectful there.
