Sir Ralph Abercrombie has applied for a convoy to the Downs while Captain Benton ordered the Leith tender under Lieutenant Watson to the Nore so he is sending Lieutenant Lochtie in HMS Minx to join the convoy and Lieutenant Malone in HMS Manly will go as far as Flambrough head.
