Folios 233-234: Thomas Wittewronge Whitewell Clayton, HMS Prince William, North Shields. Has Prussian trrops from Texel and is bound for Guernsey. Bad weather and lack of water and fever amongst the crowded troops required them to land here. Many of the ships are damaged and will not be able to sail. His ship is leaking and the troops and crew are always wet. He asks for a refit for many vessels before he sails on.
