Folios 223-224: Thomas Wittewronge Whitewell Clayton, HMS Prince William, Leith Roads. Is sending a description of the man who, when the sloop was captured by Le Tonnerre, immediately gave information as to where the valuable cargo was and then joined the crew of the privateer. He should be made an example.
Folio 225: enclosed with folios 223-224. Printed detailed description of David Smith, who belonged to the London Packet of Aberdeen and entered Le Tonnerre, French Privateer. 100 printed for distribution by Lord Duncan.
Folio 226: enclosed with folios 223-224. Description of David Smith. Given by the Master of the London Packet of Aberdeen. Captain Clements will have his place of abode.
