Description

Folios 205-206: George Clarke, HMS Conquerant, Plymouth. Thomas Bassington, Boatswain, has been convicted of his crimes at the Courts Martial of Earl St Vincent so he has been demoted.

Folio 207: enclosed with folios 205-206. Letter dated 17 December 1798 by George Clarke, HMS Conquerant, River Tagus, to Earl St Vincent. Thomas Bassington has been convicted of embezzling and selling rope from the ship.

Folio 208: blank.
