Folios 32-33: Thomas Campbell. HMS Wright, North Shields. Was ordered by Viscount Duncan to take the Phoenix and the Nile and a convoy to Elsinore. He sent the Phoenix and some of the convoy to the Pentland firth. The Danish ship the Cattegate, formerly the Polly of Dysart, had been captured previously and condemned in Norway by the French but he took it over. He met a Swedish ship from Calmar, which pretended to be afraid of the French, but he detained her and sent her into Yarmouth under Lieutenant Argles so her papers can be investigated.
