Folio 19: C Hamilton, HMS Melpomene, at sea. Describes some vessels he has seen but no men of war. Edward Pellew agrees with this.
Folios 20-21: Letter dated 15 February 1799 by George Campbell, HMS Dragon, Torbay. Does not know where Vice Admiral Charles Thompson and Sir Charles Hamilton are. His magazine is very damp.
