Folios 258-259: George Countess, HMS Ethalion, Guernsey Roads. Is sending his letter with Commander Richard Runwa Bowyer of HMS Cameleon, who is escorting a convoy. Reports that yesterday the brig HMS Seaflower, Lieutenant James Murray, hit a rock and lost her rudder, so that she will probably have to go into the Pier for her bottom to be examined. Encloses [no longer present] a statement of her condition.
