Folios 232-233: James Cornwallis, HMS Sheerness, Spithead. Acknowledges receipt of the order to hoist a broad pendant when he leaves the English Channel and to strike it on his arrival at Demerera, but he has not received any sailing orders. Admiral Sir Peter Parker has advised him to apply directly to the Admiralty, as his sailing orders could have been mis-sent to another port.
