Folios 211-212: John Cooke, Porchester, Hampshire. Has not had any reply to his previous letter concerning an imprest of £41 12s against him for the purchase of coal bought by the Purser of HMS Quebec when he commanded her. He points out the hardship he has suffered by his pay for that ship and his half pay since being stopped and says there was nothing unusual about the transaction.
