Description

Folios 98-99: George Cockburn, HMS Minerve, Spithead. Acknowedges the letter asking him to report on the case of Charles Adam Perrin. Perrin is the son of the woman referred to in the letter enclosed by the Admiralty, entered for the ship three months ago and took the bounty, but recently applied to Captain Cockburn for his discharge. On being told he could not be released without an order from the Admiralty, Captain Cockburn supposes he then applied to his mother.
