Folios 299-300: George Countess, HMS Ethalion, Buoy of the Nore. Encloses lists [not present] of ships HMS Ethalion and HMS Scorpion convoy to Elsinore and their journey back with his Journal and a ship’s survey. [No longer present]. Says he ordered HMS Scorpion when they passed Yarmouth to return to the Nore after seeing the ships bound for the Westwards safe to the Downs, (being mostly laden with Government supplies). Also spoke with vessel last night who’d left the Dutch fleet out, the evening before steering to the Westwards. The vessel had dispatches for Captain Trollop was then going to look for Admiral Duncan who he said wasn’t at Yarmouth.
