Folios 293-294: George Countess, HMS Ethalion, Chatham. Francis Hislop, Landsman and Perth Quota-man who was amongst men brought onboard from HMS Sandwich and received twelve guineas quota Bounty attempted twice last night to escape to shore. Gve himself up this morning as a deserter from the West Lowland Fencibles, was mutinous and troublesome no sooner as he came aboard and continued so after he was sent to the Hospital ship with a lame hand. Seeks directions as to what to do. Is held having been insolent to the Hospital Surgeon, taken quota money, then trying to desert.
