Folios 230-231: John Cooke, HMS Nymphe, Plymouth. Reports his arrival with the French corvette La Constance, 22 nine pounders and maned with one hundred men he captured on the 9th with HMS St Fiorenzo who he has not seen since the day of the action. Spoke with Captain Durham, HMS Anson, Monday evening, 40 leagues west of Scilly with the French frigate, La Resistance. Strong winds blowing from the eastwards prevented him reaching this port sooner. Encloses report [no longer present] on the condition of his ship.
