Folios 154-155: William Collis, HMS Dromedary, Deptford. Writes further to his application 31st May to have Robert Atkinson, Boatswain Court Martialed. Seeks permission to withdraw his application, sending the enclosed letter for their consideration.
Folios 156-157: enclosed with folios 154-155. Letter dated 15 June 1797 by Robert Atkinson, Boatswain, HMS Dromedary to Captain Collis. Makes his apology for the crimes and offences that have led to his Court Martial. He is only a new Boatswain and did not realize his errors until he was told. His being confined to his cabin is a mortification and he has brought distress on his family and aged mother. Begs to have the letter of Court Martial withdrawn saying he will fully satisfy in the future.
