Folios 272-273: Thomas Wittewronge Whitewell Clayton, HMS Prince William, the Nore. Notice of arrival with the convoy from the Humber, which they left on 17 August 1797. All arrived safely except the Hawk dogger, she parted company on 18th August having apparently split her sails in a gale, he believes she returned to the Humber.
