Folios 249-250: Thomas Wittewronge Whitewell Clayton, HMS Prince William, White Booth Road in the Humber. Acknowledgement of orders to cruise to prevent any ships he meets with from going to the Nore, he will proceed immediately to Flamborough Head for that purpose. HMS Lord Hood sailed on Monday 12 June 1797 for Flamborough, on the orders of Captain Peter Halkett of HMS Circe, in order to detain William Parker.
