Folios 485-486: Edmund Crawley, HMS Lion, Spithead. Reports that Rev John Carter, of Pembroke College, Oxford has been appointed Chaplain to HMS Lion, by order of Rear Admiral Christian dated 18 December 1795. He heartily approves and requests the warrant is confirmed.
