Folios 479-480: James Cranstoun, 8 Suffolk Street, London. Reports that he continues in poor health. He is grateful for the leave already granted, and as HMS Bellerophon has now arrived at Spithead he requests that Captain Loring may continue as Acting Captain, until the vessel either enters for repairs or is ordered to sail. If his request is not granted, he will of course join immediately.
