Folios 465-466: George Countess, HMS Daedalus, Portsmouth. Recommendation for promotion for Thomas White, Gunner on HMS Daedalus, who has been 24 years in the navy, with 17 as Gunner. He has produced very good certificates from his former Captains, and has been a sober, diligent and good officer while under Captain Countess's command.
