Folios 431-432: George Countess, HMS Daedalus, off Cape Coast Castle, Ghana. Has received a letter from Archibald Dalzel, Governor of Cape Coast Castle, informing him of the danger of rendezvousing at the island of St Thomas, as ordered, in the current tornado season and advising instead the island of Princes, which has a good harbour and plentiful supplies. He has given instructions to Captain Sutton of HMS Martin to let the trade vessels know the new rendezvous, and to meet him there. Governor Dalzel hopes that the island of Princes will be used as the rendezvous point in future, in light of his won experiences.
