Folios 429-430: George Countess, HMS Daedalus, Funchal Road, Madeira. Reports the arrival of his vessel and HMS Martin, together with their convoy, on 19 January. They encountered severe weather during their passage and on 21 January were forced to slip their cables and put to sea again. They anchored again on 26 January, and have taken on provisions. They are sailing today for Cape Coast.
