Folios 290-291: James Colnett, HMS Hussar, Plymouth. Has been informed by Admiral Sir Richard King that he has received an order to permit Captain Colett to travel to town. Captain Colnett has not made a request, but is happy to attend if required by the Admiralty. Suspecting it may be a mistake, thought it his duty to report the fact. Reports that they have commenced fitting, but he does not expect that the Carpenters will have finished within the next fortnight. Mr Maxwell, Second Lieutenant, has joined, but Mr Philips, First Lieutenant, has not.
