Folios 286-287: James Colnett. Encloses his account for the survey of the coast, and requests a gratuity for the 56 days he was employed. He was given an allowance of 20 shillings a day and half pay when employed on a survey in 1795.
Folios 288: enclosure with folios 286-287. Captain Colnett, 6 October 1796. Expenses for 10 August to 13 September (35 days) for the survey of the coast, including travel, clerk's pay, stationery, subsistence for himself, clerk and servant, and gratuity for 56 days service. Total £110 11s.
