Folios 255-256: James Colnett, North Yarmouth. Encloses his report of the coast of Suffolk. His last report was sent from Southwold. He is now travelling to Cromer and will send his next report from there.
Folio 257: enclosure with folios 222-256. James Colnett. Chart number 5. Hand drawn chart covering the same area as folio 258, but covering the sandbanks and soundings off shore.
Folio 258: enclosure with folios 255-256. James Colnett. Chart number 5. Hand drawn chart of the coastline from Southwold to Great Yarmouth, noting batteries and proposed signal stations.
Folios 259-262: enclosure with folios 255-256. James Colnett, North Yarmouth. Detailed description of the coast from Southwold to North Yarmouth, describing possible landing sites, anchorages, road communications with the interior, and sites of batteries. Makes recommendations for protection of the coast. Lieutenant March has provided a copy of his report about men in the area, and Lieutenant Ellis reports that including men employed on inland navigation there is a potential for press gangs.
