Folio 245-246: James Colnett, Orford. Reports that on his way to Bawdsey he met Marquis Cornwallis, returning from making his observations there. HMS Daphne has brought in a French sloop, Burthen, captured within 3/4 of a mile of the shore near Dunkirk, carrying tobacco. The crew abandoned the vessel in their boat.
