Folios 222-223: James Sykes, Naval Agent, [22] Arundel Street, the Strand [London]. Encloses Admiral William Parker's commission dated 17 July 1796, appointing Francis Collingwood to Captain HMS Hindostan.
Folios 224-225: enclosure with folios 222-223. William Parker, Rear Admiral of the Red and Commander in Chief of His Majesty's ships in Jamaica and Santo Domingo, on board HMS Swiftsure, Jamaica. Commission of Francis Collingwood of HMS Cormorant to be Captain of HMS Hindostan until further notice, replacing Captain Thomas Bertie [Hoar] who has an illness which requires a change of climate and has been given permission to return to England. Dated 17 July 1796.
