Folios 216-217: Francis Cole, HMS Revolutionnaire, Falmouth. Responding to the letter informing him that his proposal reagrding the masts and yards on his ship has been turned down. Now requests 50 gun ships yards, if masts cannot be supplied, as the quantity of canvas gained will have a beneficial effect. His only purpose is to make her a very complete frigate, and the deficiency in the canvas very clearly affects her performance.
