Folios 210-211: Francis Cole, HMS Revolutionnaire, Falmouth. He has reported in his weekly account to Sir Edward Fellowes the bad state of the copper of his vessel, which has been worn for some months and has fallen off in several places. It requires constant scrubbing, but this does not prevent accumulation of barnacles and weeds, which greatly affects her sailing. Requests orders for the ship to be taken into port and repaired. Also points out that his ship is under-masted and this is not just his opinion. Changes would greatly improve her performance.
