Folios 167-168: Edward Codrington, HMS Druid, Spithead. Reports that he has seen an Order at the Clerk of the Cheque's Office, that the 32 gun frigates carrying large 12-pounders will carry 240 men. Asks whether this will also be the complement of HMS Druid.
Folio 169: enclosure with folios 167-168. Admiralty Office to Edward Codrington, HMS Druid, Spithead, 15 July 1796. Response to Captain Codrington's letter of 13 July. HMS Druid is not one of the ships which fall within the description mentioned.
