Folios 407-408: John Colvill, HMS Star, Galleons Reach. Reply to letter received yesterday informing him to discharge James White and Charles McLellan if he is satisfied they belong to the Amity Transport. States the transport ran foul of HMS Star, carried away over four yard and her anchor hanging a cock-bell stove in a Plank of our side and caused other damage. Charles McLellan was not on her ticket and a deserter from a Man of War. James White was entered on the Amity, joining in the West Indies has requested to be a volunteer on HMS Star. Should he discharge them.
