Folios 391-392: James Colnett. The [Royal] Engineers being ordered to town by the Marquis Cornwallis [Charles Cornwallis, 1st Marquess Cornwallis], he thought it advisable to accompany them, yesterday he received the enclosed from Captain Lewis Hay of the [Royal] Engineers. Request approval.
Folios 393-394: enclosures with folios 391-392. Lewis Hay, Clements Inn, Sunday, to James Colnett. Requests that following a meeting with the Marquis Cornwallis, they meet to discuss Floating Batteries and Gun Boats for the Essex Coast. His lodgings are at No 3 Park Street andhe will be at 39 Mount Street tomorrow till twelve o'clock.
