Folios 375-376: James Colnett, No 17 Clements Inn. Covering letter for the enclosed [not present] chart of the coast of Essex and a report of his remarks on a Naval defence and other observations. Has consulted the Principal Inhabitants and encloses a letter from Mr Graham of Harwich. He will be leaving Harwich tomorrow to join the Royal Engineers Officer to proceed to the coast of Suffolk.
