Folios 369-370: James Colnett, Malden. Informs that he has finished with the River Crouch and south side the Blackwater but the dispatch necessary to keep way with the officers of the Engineers employed in the Marine Survey of the Coast of Essex requires further assistance. He points out Lieutenant T G Shortland as a proper person to assist. Captain Hays report cannot be forwarded.
