Folios 364-365: Cuthbert Collingwood, HMS Excellent, Leghorn Road. Reports his arrival with the Convoy he was charged with to St Fiorenso [Saint-Florent] in Corsica. The ships bound to Oporto and Lisbon were dispatched by Vice Admiral John Colpoys on 15 July 1795 [Position given] under convoy of HMS Niger. I parted from the India Ships on 18 July 1795 [Position given] and arrived with all the others at Gibraltar on 21 July 1795. On 24 August 1795, taking with him all the trade from Gibraltar bound up the Mediterranean and the Victuallers and Transports which the Agent Victualler was directed to send to the fleet, conducted them in safety to St Fiorenso [Saint-Florent] where we arrived on 23 August 1795 - his having received his orders to join the Commander in Chief at Leghorn and leave the Frigates HMS Blonde and HMS Flora in charge of the convoy. He arrived here today. Reports that the convoy was retarded by some of the Transports sailing very heavily, particularly the Martha of Whitby.
