Folios 456-457: Charles Craven, HMS Trimmer, Spithead. Concerning the case of Richard Davidson who is claiming to be a freeholder. It is a common practice with the boatmen of Cowes to purchase land with false deeds. Mr Mallett has a mortgage on the premises in question and expects to take possession of the house when Mr Davidson's uncle dies.
Folio 458: enclosure with folios 456-457. Copy of letter from Charles Craven, HMS Trimmer, Guernsey Roads to Thomas Dundas, Lieutenant General & Command of HM forces, Guernsey, 28 September 1793. Requesting copies of the Islands signals so that HMS Trimmer may be known in future and confirming that he will hoist a blue flag at the main top gallant mast head.
Folio 459: enclosure with folios 456-457. Copy of letter from Thomas Dundas, Lt Gov of Guernsey, 29 September 1793 to Charles Craven. HMS Trimmer is ordered to cruise in the neighbourhood of the Islands of Guernsey to protect commerce.
Folio 460: enclosure with folios 456-457. Copy of letter from Thomas Dundas, Lt Gov of Guernsey, 29 September 1793 to Charles Craven. He requests that one of the Kings Brigs under Craven's command convoys the cutter with Lt Coll Mercer of the Royal Engineers on board to Plymouth.
Folio 461: enclosure with folios 456-457. Copy of letter from Charles Craven, HMS Trimmer to Lieutenant John Clarke Searle, HMS Liberty, 30 September, 1793. Searle is ordered to take the cutter with Lt Col Mercer RE from Guernsey to Bigberry Bay and then return to station.

Folio 463: enclosure with folios 456-457. Copy of letter from Charles Craven, HMS Trimmer, St Aubins Bay, Isle of Jersey, 4 October 1793 to Colonel J H Craig commanding HM Forces in Jersey. Accepting the order to be stationed in and near the Islands of Jersey and Guernsey to protect the trade. HMS Trimmer will be known by the blue flag at the main top gallant mast head. Copy of letter from J H Craig, HQ St Hellier, 4 October 1793 to Charles Craven requesting that important intelligence be sent to England with utmost urgency.
