Description

Folios 272-273: James Colnett, HMS Glatton, at Sea. [Position given]. Report my return from New South Wales which I left on 18 May 1803. I have only lost two men drowned and one man to sickness. [Gives details on the state of the convicts on his arrival at Port Jackson from a lettre received from Governor Philip Gidley King on 7 April 1803. My First Lieutenant Mr J [John or Joshua?] Tracey, who will deliver this , also has dispatches From Governor Philip Gidley King.

Folios 274-275: enclosure with folios 272-273. Letter dated 14 September 1803 by James Colnett, HMS Glatton, at sea. [Position given], to the Admiralty. [Duplicate of folio 272-273 plus] The Carpenters report enclosed [summary detailed] signed by Thomas Weekes, Carpenter.

Folio 276: enclosure with folios 272-273. Report on HMS Glatton. Signed by Thomas Weekes, Carpenter, 19 September 1803.

Folios 277-278: enclosure with folios 272-273. Letter dated 20 September 1803 by Alexander Forsyth, HMS Glatton, to James Colnett. About his and Mr Richard Scott, [Master of the [HMS?] Buffalo] being sent home because a private pique of Governor Philip Gidley King and Captain Kent.
