Description

Folios 62-63: David Colby, HMS Gelikheid, Yarmouth Roads. As per the Orders of Rear Admiral Bartholomew Samuel Rowley in the case of:- John Lithgow, John Henderson and Frederick Negell. Report that John Lithgow said to be 59 was sent to Sick Quarters at Yarmouth on 21 August and was afterwards Invalided. John Henderson who was Carpenter on the Bird Merchant Ship was discharged as a Supernumerary on 19 August 1802 into Phoenix Cutter for passage to the Nore. Frederick Negell is a native of Prussia is not married or settled in England or received His Majesties Bounty and as directed he has discharged him.

Folio 64: enclosure with folios 62-63. Extract of the Parish Register of the Baptism in the Church of Berwick upon tweed. John Lithgow son of James and Margaret Lithgow was baptised 7 December 1744.

Folios 65-66: enclosure with folios 62-63. Petition of Thomas Bowser Master of the Nymph re the impressment of John Lithgow and request he be discharged.

Folios 67-68: enclosure with folios 62-63. Petition dated 23 August 1803 of John Slater Master of the Bird of Newcastle employed in the Baltic Trade. That on 18 August 1803 John Henderson Chief Carpenter was impressed. Request he be discharged.
