Folios 58-59: David Colby, HMS Gelikheid, Yarmouth Roads. As per directions from Rear Admiral Rowley in the case of William Knighton. He is aged 18 years and was received on HMS Gelikheid from the Deptford Tender on 7 May 1803 as a Volunteer, has not received the Kings Bounty being under age and was never at sea before that time.
Folios 60-61: enclosures with folios 58-59. Letter dated 17 September 1803 by John Beal, Oundle. His apprentice William Knighton was impressed a few weeks back and is now on HMS Gelikheid now lying at Chatham. His trade as a Clockmaker in Oundle Northampton is being affected for the want of his apprentice. Request he be discharged.
