Folios 54-55: David Colby, HMS Gelikheid, Yarmouth Roads. As per orders from Rear Admiral Edward Thornborough in the cases of:- John Dodd and Samuel Marshall. John Dodd who is stated as being over 55 is a very active man and in every respect capable of his duty. Samuel Marshall was impressed on 18 August 1803 in Yarmouth Roads and was discharged on 19 August 1803 by order of Rear Admiral Edward Thornborough into HMS Phoenix for a passage to the Nore. The Master of the ship he was impressed from made no application for discharge as being the Carpenter of the ship.
Folios 56-57: enclosure with folios 54-55. Petition of George Davison, Master of the Amety Regard from the Port of Sunderland. John Dodd was impressed and request he be discarded.
