Folios 185-186: William Charleton, Regulating Captain, North Shields. Reports that Lieutenant Nathaniel France, commanding the Lyra tender, was served with a writ of habeas corpus yesterday demanding the release of Thomas Dale, who was impressed on 30 November 1803. Having consulted the agent for the Admiralty solicitors, he has ordered that Dale be released, since the affidavits say he was under age, and the Captain cannot prove them wrong.
