Folios 99-100: William Charleton, Regulating Captain, North Shields. Because the post did not arrive until evening, it was not possible to carry out the orders in the letter of 5 November1803, on the night of the 7th, but last night a great number of men were brought aboard the tender HMS Eliza, and he has detained 26 of these as fit for the service.
