Folios 264-265: Alexander Cochrane, London. States that the bearer of the etter, Mr Robert Lewis was the person highly commended by Major General Coote for his conduct on shore in Egypt where he acted as Adjunct to the Brigade of Seaman before Alexandria. He was involved in the actions on 8, 13 and 21 March. As he also served time with him on the Thetis and Ajax he can confirm he has a high opinion of him.
