Incorporated under act of 1st August 1859. Under act of 17th July 1862, name was changed from Sevenoaks Railway Company to Sevenoaks, Maidstone & Tunbridge Railway Company. Under act of 21st July 1879, Sevenoaks, Maidstone & Tunbridge Railway Company became vested in London, Chatham & Dover Railway Company. London, Chatham & Dover Railway Company became part of Southern Railway Company from 1st January 1923 under Railways (Southern Group) Amalgamation Scheme 1922 dated 22nd December 1922.
