Folios 242-243: John Cooke, HMS Amethyst, Plymouth Sound. Requests an additional 10 men and that William Dutton; John Hoff; Thomas Heaney; William Smith; James Clarke; Francis James and William Mainland be discharged from the ships books as they were put on the Vesuve French Brig he captured on 9 December [1799] to carry into Plymouth but which has subsequently been retaken by a French privateer off Falmouth.
